Updating Your Bathroom on a Budget
1. New Countertops
See our blog on what remnants are and how they can best be utilized. These countertop options are the most budget friendly. However, I will say that because bathrooms are usually little square feet, any stone within our Sweet 60 collection will be a great price since it is priced by the job and not by the whole slab.
2. Paint your vanity
No more outdated color in your bathroom! You don’t need to replace your entire vanity in most cases. Just some paint can go a long way in giving your bathroom a refresh. If you have the time, I would do it yourself to save more money rather than hiring someone. Make it a fun family project on the weekend with your kids, or invite some friends over, put on some fun music and paint together! I recommend picking your new countertops first and then choosing your paint color. There are way more options and ways to customize paint to fit your countertop, rather than the other way around.
3. Update your vanity hardware
Find a finish that you love and that works with the other fixtures in your bathroom. Something simple such as picking out new handles for your cabinets and drawers adds to the refresh in the paint and is so easy to do. Usually you only need a screwdriver and you can install new hardware all on your own!
4. Declutter and clean!
This might sound silly, but sometimes clutter adds up and we don’t even notice it anymore. Have a friend come help you throw some junk out and reorganize the stuff you want to keep. There are a lot of great bins and organization tools at most stores that have home decor, so go grab a few to add to drawers, cabinets and linen closets and maybe grab a new faux plant while you're at it!
Small changes can add up. All of these steps are ways you can simply update your bathroom on your own or with your family and friends. It’s important to enjoy the areas in your home that you use so often. Come in and we’ll help you pick out your new countertops so you can get this renovation started!
