A local Massachusetts homeowner came to us to replace their Formica kitchen countertop, so we provided them with samples to examine right in their home. With our selection, they were able to find the marble look they desired using Viatera Minuet quartz.
Quartz, unlike marble, requires little to no maintenance and is able to mimic the sleek white-grey look of marble. From designing to fabrication to installation, we handled everything to provide an upgrade to both their kitchen and living room.
Viatera Minuet is a popular, white quartz with grey marbling that adds a luxurious tone to any room. The stone here serves as both the countertop and backsplash, lining the perimeter of the kitchen and accenting the wooden cabinets.
We also handled the change from a drop-in double sink to a stainless steel single undermount, giving the kitchen a modern look while making it easier to clean large pots and pans.
As the quartz countertop was 1 ¼ inch thick (compared to the Formica at 1 ½ inch) and the cabinets were notched, we shimmed up the quartz to ensure there wasn’t a gap between the countertops and cabinets. We’ll work with you to make any dream project possible!
